Furuya Korin (1875 - 1910) was a Japanese designer and painter. His woodblock-printed books of textile designs, created in the first decade of the 20th century, feature brilliant abstract patterns, textures, and colors drawn from nature. A master Meiji-era painter, Furuya Korin's work combines traditional Japanese decorative styles with those of the French Art Nouveau.
